Every summer, the Copa del Rey Sailing Regatta turns Palma Bay into one of the major meeting points for international sailing. Teams from different countries, high-level boats and sea enthusiasts fill the harbour with activity during one of the most important nautical events in the Mediterranean.
At Ca n’Eduardo, this connection with the sea has been part of our history for more than 80 years. Our location, above the old fish market and facing the harbour, has allowed us to closely experience the evolution of the Copa del Rey and the nautical atmosphere that transforms Palma every summer.
The Copa del Rey and Palma’s nautical atmosphere
Our connection with the regatta began several editions ago, supporting different teams that share values such as effort, perseverance and passion for the sea. In 2023, we supported the Scugnizza Ca n’Eduardo team, winner on corrected time in the ORC 3 category. In 2024, we became part of the Varicentro D6 project and, in 2025, we continued alongside JP Financial D6. A relationship that has grown year after year and reflects Ca n’Eduardo’s natural connection with the harbour, sailing and Palma’s maritime tradition.
During those days, the atmosphere surrounding the regatta also becomes part of the experience for those visiting the restaurant. From our terrace, with direct views of the harbour and the Cathedral, guests can follow the movement of the boats while enjoying a relaxed meal in the heart of Palma’s maritime district.
Mediterranean cuisine in a nautical setting
The restaurant’s connection to the sea is also reflected in its cuisine. Since its beginnings, Ca n’Eduardo has maintained a culinary proposal based on fresh produce and Mediterranean tradition.
Specialists in fresh fish, seafood and Mediterranean-inspired rice dishes, the restaurant’s menu naturally fits the nautical atmosphere surrounding Palma’s harbour throughout the summer season.
Many guests take advantage of these days to share a rice dish after spending time at sea, enjoy fresh fish on the terrace or gather for a relaxed lunch between regattas and sailing-related events.
The culinary proposal, currently led by chef Pedro Mesquida, preserves the restaurant’s traditional essence while adding a contemporary and balanced perspective. The objective remains the same: to offer well-prepared Mediterranean cuisine focused on quality ingredients and enjoyable dining without unnecessary excess.
Guests who would like to discover some of the restaurant’s specialties can consult the Ca n’Eduardo menu before their visit.
A meeting point during the nautical season
In addition to regular customers and visitors, during the sailing season the restaurant welcomes professionals connected to the nautical world, companies, organisers and teams involved in Palma’s major maritime events.
The combination of location, Mediterranean cuisine and versatile spaces makes the restaurant a comfortable and well-organised setting for meetings and informal business lunches.
The terrace, especially at sunset, becomes one of the most sought-after places to end the day while enjoying the atmosphere of the harbour as the city gradually slows down again.
A unique location: above the fish market, facing the harbour and with views of the Cathedral, Ca n’Eduardo continues to form part of the maritime image of Palma that so many visitors remember every summer.
